Recent paintings by John Devane were on show at 10 Gresham St London EC2 7JD  from 20th September 2018 until mid January 2019

John Devane is a figurative painter and printmaker who has exhibited widely since graduating from the Royal College of Art.

He is Professor of Painting at the RBSA (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists) and Professor of Painting at Coventry University in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.

He was a finalist in the BP Portrait Award in 2013 and was an exhibitor in 1995. His work was featured in the Garrick Milne Prize for Painting in 2005, and he has work in a number of private and public collections including the Imperial War Museum, Unilever Collection and Ocean Transport and Trade PLC. A  painting entitled: 'Weeping Woman' was selected for the Columbia Threadneedle Prize 2018.
